Improving a tree or vine’s ability to transport sugars throughout the plant to the fruit is key and often measured by Brix. Higher Brix levels in fruits equates to more flavor, better nutrition, longer shelf life, earlier maturity and more marketable products. Higher Brix also helps protect plants from pests and freezing.
